It is a shame . But it was a long time coming. Ipod posted under several aliases and some of her posts were clear violations of the TOS. She contributed little and disrupted much. I regret that this was necessary but there are certain behaviours we are not willing to accept. It creates a hostile atmosphere and ruins it for everybody. Regards Robert

Hi Rob Sorry that was a lot to do with me David h( Head Honcho) emailed me( Head Case) and told me a couple of times he was going to lock the threads put a ban on etc ,and I asked him not to Her insults did not bother me at all ( under any of her aliases) and I hoped that assuming (presumably) she had a degree of intelligence eventually( after letting off steam) her point of view could have been aired and discussed rationally and without insult, and the verbal bullying of FHP's Everyone was getting bored with the stupidity of it all and the axe has now fallen It IS a great shame this had to happen through her negativity and in the process she has lost an opportunity . Cheers Derek

It is sad yes, ladies and gentleman, that this person has a ban because they speak their mind. I am sad also. Leon.

Hi Leon, Lets be quite clear. If someone is intentially disruptive on this forum, they will be warned, then banned. You, I seem to remember, were not too happy when dtt spoke his mind a while back .

May I ask a polite question? Or two polite questions?
How many aliases did Ipod have?
Is it possible to prevent someone registering with more than one name based on the fact you can check ISP numbers?
I rather think my user name has been mistaken as an alias of ipod. I hope my post satisfies DTT that this is not the case.
As far as I am aware nobody else has signed in to Ortho-peds although I do give permission to my staff to use the internet during down time for CPD purposes.
This may be the one and only reason why another sign up name has been included.
To confirm for the sakes of DTT my name is Peter Smith; I am referred to as Pete the feet. I have put up with the name for years, so can you. My sign in is 10feet because that is the size of my feet and that is easy for me to remember. My password is the number of my house because that's easy for me to remember too. My memory is failing me - I reach that half centuary on 1 Jan. Sadly I have to configure easy numbers and passwords lest I forget.
I do not wish to supply any further details as this is a public site and websearchs for further information are extremely probable.
Try googling your town name and podiatrist. Its amazing how easy it is to gain identification of posters unless you do use anonimity.
I stand corrected by David Holland and respect the nature of this site. I do though retain a problem with "the rules" as they are very much open for interpretation by the longstanding posters.
I do not have a problem with FHP's and one day hope to see their technical skills regulated or licensed by the HPC. I do have a problem with skills being passed onto anyone in footcare without underpinning knowledge. I for one would not touch a RHA patient or a ulcerative Type 1 diabetic with a barge pole. There is a limitation to even a podiatrists skills - altho' there is a desire for some with delusions of grandeur to replace Drs within the NHS. But this is another debate.
Respectfully,
Pete

Hi Pete,
Good post - no problems with your identity either. Ipod had one other identity that I know about. Not that I worry about these things because we ban username + ISP number.
We could check to find out if people are using other identities, but its not necessary. Most people on here are polite and helpful (or at least helpful). I think I've only banned two people in the last two years (and one of those was for spamming).
Regards,

and there was me thinking she`s an ex ipod because a book case fell on her... Speaking of posting ander an alias, have you seen who i really am?; profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=132473120Nothing like the Lithuanian Robin Hood figure you thought I was. Agree with Head Honcho (even tho he called me puerile) good posting Pete. The difference that you are probably picking up on with `The longstanding posters` is that we have met each other at CPD events, therefore friendly banter is bound to take place. For example; you would have noted that whilst i was polite and encouraging further discussion to anon posters on the silver nitrate debate, my postings lacked the affable remarks that can only be used in familiarity with another poster. Stick around Pete, you`ll soon find a comfortable place here, we are a friendly crowd really This is something that many FHPs desire, but as you say, that is another debate. Cheers, Bel

Ha! Bel sweety. Be grateful for small mercies. At least you are human (although you may wish to address the sudden onset of baldness dear). Me, I'm just a simple minded thing. Please find enclosed a recent mug/pug shot! Taken after a really difficult day in the clinic. www.pugslife.org/profile/TwirlyWrinkled of Barking.

I know of at least one other besides those two . Have not done the isp check on that one (different computer) against other logins. Hopefully will not need to. Hey Pete. Thanks for the post. I think you will notice a sharp spike in respect from a few people on this site. We don't all agree on everything, thats the point of the site! But we DO expect to treat each other with respect whilst disagreeing. Agreed! Agreed! Agreed. And Knowing those limits is a vital part of the skill set. Agreed again! Yep. And a good one. I think you have some good points to make. If we can continue in the vein of mutural respect and courtesy i'd love to explore them with you. Welcome, Pete, To the forum. Lets go on from here. Regards Robert
