Pete posted this on another thread: "David your point being?
Using quotes like this just irritates the life out of me, adds nothing to the debate and once again fails to engage a sense of humour due to insinuation."Hi Pete, I moved this to Break-Room - seemed more approprate. I notice you weren't quite so sensitive about a SeekersofWisdom 1 and 2 having a pop at me and weightloss ; Anyway, back on topic.... Who gets irritated by having to type my name to log into the forum? ;D

David, Looks like you have been busy with your 'modify / remove buttons', unfortunately you cannot remove other posts, so: David
I think my new goal is for you to eat read-kill badger too ;DLet us know how you progress with this.
David(I eat meat, me)HNow if you feed some people lines like that you must expect a quip back? Am I missing something here? I thought your 'goal' was 'weight loss'?
I have not some how signed up for a course have I nIf that is a POP I'm sorry I did not realise how sensitive you are. Shy (ex dork and idiot).

I take strong exception to that. David, if you no longer run the forum you shouldn't be moving threads about. It's not "constructive interference" - it's high-jacking. Keep your pinkies out and stop being a control freak.

Quiet day at the office David?
I can't quite see the point of taking my post completely out of the thread where I placed it and putting it here where it is meaningless.
As Shy (I think) said somewhere else, taking quotes and placing them without relevance indicates one thing, you just want to bicker. I have to totally agree with this rationale.
So David, if you would be so kind as to take my quote and put it back where it came from.
Pete
PS Shy's quip at you about the weightloss goal was "intelligent humour". It engaged a wry smile.

Keep your pinkies out and stop being a control freak. I meant I moved the quote (to be accurate - I duplicated the quote). I neither have the means nor the wish to move acyual posts and threads around. So no high-jacking from me.

Hey lets all be taking some deep breaths.
Firstly, David CAN'T move, modify or delete. The Admin password has changed.
Secondly NONE of the snipes are acceptable. If anyone feels that a post is aimed at them personally then tell me and I'll remove it. Simple as that.
Regards Admin

Robert,
I think some of us may be confusing terms here.
You are correct in that no one but admin can Move Modify or delete a post not posted by them.
But
Any poster can modify or delete a post done by them, a very valuable function, IMO allowing the next 'day reflection', to take place. Perhaps one of the major faults with TFS?
When David said he had 'moved a thread' what he was really saying was he had 'continued a previous thread but under a different catagory'.
I see no harm or malice in that, it is up to other posters whether they conform to the move?.
I'm sure it will take time to get used to the new format and it is sometimes difficult to stop what was a question turning into a discussion. IMO too many threads in too many boxes is not always that helpful, Pod Arena IMO suffers a bit from that.
Is it possible to increase the number of 'recent threads' from 5 to 10, sometimes when the forum is very active it may help?
I think you are doing a good job.
Shy.
