Hello all I am trying to REALLY get to grips with understanding BMX. Currently can see if there is a problem and endeavour to fix it but feel I need to know why/how it works. Anyway the upshot is I have been trying to understand Newton and his 3 theories of force, my 13 yr old son has managed to explain how the theories work (simple language used - not to be underestimated!) but I now have to translate this to the foot which is where the immense knowledge of BMX on this site comes in.................. Please could someone either point me in the direction of an accesible paper/article which explains in simple language (am afraid Jim Richards confuses me) or if someone would like to give me an example for each theory using a foot I would be eternally grateful (would beer be a good incentive?) ;D Thank you in advance for any incite to this dark force. Ah what a beautiful thing. You have a wonderous voyage of discovery ahead of you. I envy you! For an understanding of how Physics works in the foot there is really only one place to start. The thought experiments. www.podiatry-arena.com/podiatry-forum/tags/index.php?tag=/thought-experiment/Ignore number 1. Its actually one of the trickier ones. Work from number 2. If you struggle or need any hints feel free to email me and /or start a thread per experiment. We can work them through together. Kind regards Robert

Thanks for the offer of help Robert Bootcamp has definitely helped with levers and will endeavour to work through the 'thought experiments'. They may take me a while but am sure the rug rats will think it fun that mum has homework to get through again (after I nag them to do theirs ;D). Life is sooooooo exciting Podmum
