They're the latest "make you walk right, tone your butt" shoes. Just had a patient in raving about them - cured her plantar fasciitis. Whaddya think?

I've got a patient who similarly raved about them. She bought them off the internet... I wonder if they are like the orthotic sandals that canonbury sell?

All I had this crazy idea that walking actually exercised your legs and glutes Must be wrong coz the've got experts so it must be true Not only that wouldn't be great if you had a pair of Olympic lifting type flipflops thingy's that you could wear all year round, that exercises you pectorals while your at the gym and doing bench press with 100kg. Amazing!! No wait! how about a pair of trousers that exercise your cardivascular system while you run a marathon, --- on the way to work. Genius Oh My Gooooooowwwd! What about a condom that while your on the job actually increases the size of your John Thomas and its so firm you can hit home runs with it at baseball. I'm just an expert at inventing things you've never thought of and inventing totally illogical nonsense to explain why you should pay loads of money for them. Double genius oh! oh! and I'm a podiatric biomechanist too. I'm sooo excited I think I've arrived. Dave s ;D

Good post Dave. ;D Thank God. Signs at last that Dave's full reasoning power is returned to normal. Some of us were getting worried.

Crystaltips I would say bollocks if the auto censor would allow it! How to impede saggital plane progresion and cause ankle joint complex, lower limb, knee, hip and back pathology, oooh I know, add a forefoot incline. Allegedly and in my opinion ;D The thing about walking up hill being the same as wearing these shoes is rubbish, when walking uphill the next step is higher than the last. With these shoes the next step's heel strike is lower than the support leg. What type of compensations are going to occur to accomodate this. BAD ONES!! Actually its more like walking in and out of pot holes all day long or up and down hill all at once . IMO. Cheers Dave
